Our individual chlamydia STD screening is ideal if you believe you may have been exposed to chlamydia recently. As one of the most common STDs, this option is a great idea if you are not specifically concerned about any other sexually transmitted diseases, such as gonorrhea, syphilis, or HIV. An annual chlamydia testing is recommended as part of your regular sexual health practices, especially if you have had unprotected sex and are concerned. Chlamydia spreads very easily from person to person and often times an affected person will typically show no symptoms. Chlamydia bacteria can take between 7-10 days to detect in the urine, so we recommend waiting at least a week after the possible exposure before testing. Your chlamydia testing lab visit will only take approximately fifteen minutes.
Chlamydia and gonorrhea are often times are present simultaneously, so you may want to consider our Chlamydia and Gonorrhea combination test. If you have not recently been screened for STDs such as syphilis, chlamydia or HIV, we recommend you undergo our Standard 5 Panel or our Complete 8 Panel.
